Operations

Hours of Operation

School Hours:     8:30 am to 3:20 pm.

Drop Off:     No earlier than 8:00 am.  Students are tardy if they arrive in the sanctuary/assembly room after 8:30 am.

Pick Up:     No earlier than 3:20 pm and no later than 3:30 pm.  Students remaining at 3:30 will be checked into Gap Care; a late fee of $2.00 per 15 minute increments will be charged, unless other arrangements have been made through the school office.

School Calendar

Please refer to  the enclosed WCS calendar for Holidays and half days.  Parents should make every effort to schedule family trips during regular WCS vacations.  All other absences must be approved by the Administration in advance.  ***  WCS follows the public school calendar with a few exceptions.  Yearly calendars with ALL school functions should be available each July preceding the next school year.

Hot Lunch

Each lunch includes a well-balanced healthy meal along with milk.  Lunch is $2.25 per meal with tickets available at $45.00 for 20 meals.  Milk is available for purchase each day at $.30 per carton.  Tickets can be purchased in the amount of $6.00 for 20 milk servings.

Parents have the opportunity to volunteer their time to set up, serve, and clean up after meals.

Parent Volunteer Opportunities

WCS thrives because of caring and devoted parents who desire to be involved in the educational process of their children's lives.  There are many ways to get involved and to serve at WCS -  Parent Teacher Fellowship, fundraising events, Lunch Volunteer Program, Praying Parents, and others.  It is our prayer that each family finds a way to better our organization through gifts of their time, talents, and treasures.

 Dress Code

Parents are reminded that Watertown Christian School reserves the right to have any student change their outfit if deemed inappropriate by the administration.

Bearing in mind that Christians are to be a reflection of Jesus Christ, we desire to reflect Christian character in how we present ourselves in modesty and tastefulness.  School dress code is as follows:

  • Avoid extremes
  • Clothing should be clean, neat, in good repair, and fit properly
  • No hats or caps allowed in the classroom
  • Shoes are to be worn at all times; no flip flops
  • Symbols or words on clothing must be in good taste
  • No bare midriffs, tank tops, spaghetti straps, halter-tops, muscle shirts, baggy pants, torn clothing, or gothic style clothing.
  • No multi-color hair is allowed.  Hair should be nicely groomed.  Boys' hair should be shoulder length or shorter
  • Students are encouraged to remember proper hygiene

The administration reserves the right to make decisions on any issue not covered in the preceding list.

When necessary, a parent will be notified immediately if a child's outfit needs to be changed.  Any refusal or failure to cooperate will result in student suspension for the remainder of the day.
